The Project

The development on East Sampson Cay, coming in 2028, is being led by Yntegra Group and is rooted in a deep respect for The Bahamas, its people, culture, and environment. This project is committed to creating meaningful jobs for Bahamians, supporting local entrepreneurs and businesses, and helping to preserve the natural beauty that makes Exuma so special. With a focus on sustainable design and long-term community impact, the development aims to bring lasting benefits to the people of Exuma and the broader Bahamian community, while ensuring that growth is thoughtful, responsible, and in harmony with the surrounding environment.

What We’re Doing

  • Environmental Protection

✔ Environmental impact studies done by respected Bahamian experts

✔ Following Forestry Unit guidelines to harvest any protected trees

✔ Full-time environmental monitor onsite under DEPP guidelines

  • Low-Density, High-Impact

✔ Developing less than 50% of the land (one of the lowest densities in The Bahamas)

✔ Leaving large areas of green space and natural habitat

✔ Designing the project with eco-sensitivity in mind

  • Targeted and Minimal Seabed Activity

✔ The dredging volume is below standard industry practices for similar projects

✔Area for marinas is inland and only 3% of the total site (4 acres total)

✔ New service dock was moved north to further minimize impact on seagrass

  • DEPP and Forestry Unit Guidelines

✔ For any 1 removed mangrove, 3 mangroves will be replanted

✔ Protected trees will be marked for preservation; for any 1 protected tree removed, 3 protected trees will be replanted

✔ Creating a new wetland for bird habitat

✔ Submitted a detailed Environmental Management Plan to DEPP

✔ Incorporated expert recommendations into the plan

  • Safety and Staff Wellbeing

✔ We follow both international and Bahamian safety standards and work with experts to implement best practices

✔ We care about the safety of our staff and also about their wellbeing and happiness

✔ We will provide best-in-class staff facilities e.g. chapel, entertainment, wellness facilities, restaurants, and much more

  • Open and Transparent

✔ Held multiple public consultations and community meetings, beyond requirements

✔ Made project information available both online and in-person

✔ Advertised public consultations in national newspapers in advance

✔ Answered 80+ questions from concerned citizens and environmentalists and submitted responses to DEPP
